No, I won't stop reading these. Yes, I have two more I'm picking up from the library today.
Sookie's cousin, Hadley (the estranged one that is mentioned in most of the books but never actually seen), has died. And she's definitely dead this time since she was a vampire when she was murdered. It turns out that Hadley had been existing in New Orleans with the vampire Queen of Louisiana. The two were lovers. As a result of this interest on the Queen's behalf, Sookie has been given transportation to New Orleans so that she may clear her cousin's apartment of its belongings and collect any inheritance left to her.
Also, Sookie has begun dating a weretiger, Quinn. Quinn works at supernatural events, like the Queen of Louisiana's wedding to the King of Arkansas and the contest to determine the new packmaster of the Shreveport werewolves. The packmaster contest is where Sookie and Quinn met. I'm hoping that Quinn sticks around a while, but I'm not holding my breath. Anyway, Sookie and Quinn go on a date and are attacked by werewolf pups. So begins the mystery of why they were attacked, what happened to Hadley and why, and whether or not Sookie can trust her new man-tiger. DRAMA ENSUES!
